These are some photos of Anne Hathaway and her fiancé Adam Shulman arriving in London last week – I simply never got around to posting these before. From what I’ve heard, Adam was at both the New York and London premieres of The Dark Knight Rises, but they didn’t walk the red carpet together and I don’t even think Adam posed on any of the red carpets solo. Anne’s all, “Know your place, dude. Ten paces BEHIND ME.” Not surprisingly, in a new interview with Hello Magazine (done before the Colorado massacre), Anne lets everyone know that she’s not really in a rush to get married, and it doesn’t even sound like she and Adam have made any plans thus far:
Anne Hathaway has revealed she has been ‘so busy’ that she hasn’t yet had time to plan her wedding to fiance Adam Shulman. But despite her lack of planning the 29-year-old is already looking to the future – and starting a family with the actor.
‘We’re getting married, probably sometime next yearish,’ she said. ‘Not this year – it’s too big with two films coming out.’
The couple have yet to set a date after becoming engaged late last year after three years of dating.
‘I haven’t started planning yet,’ Anne told Britain’s Hello magazine. ‘I was filming Les Mis when we decided to do it, and there was no way I could think about anything wedding-related with my head in the space it was in then. I’ve been so busy since then, I’ve not even decided what sort of ceremony I want.’
But one thing Anne is clear on is her hopes for the future.
‘I’m looking forward to living my life with him and to being a mother when the time comes,’ she said. ‘[Adam] is a wonderful man who continues to surprise me and make me happy every day. I’ve never been happier in my life.’
Yesterday Anne was reunited with Shulman after returning to Los Angeles following a trip to Paris to promote her new film The Dark Knight Rises, in which she plays Catwoman.

Now, several months ago Us Weekly claimed that Anne and Adam had loosely “set the date” for October 2013, at the time 18 months away. I thought the whole idea of a “long engagement” sounded odd, especially for Hollywood, you know? It’s not like Anne and Adam have to save money for their wedding, and it isn’t like Anne couldn’t find a free month to organize this stuff. Which makes me think… I wonder if Anne has cold feet? Well, not exactly cold feet. Adam seems like a nice enough guy, and I think Anne likes that he’s relatively low-drama. But it also feels like she’s settling, and maybe she knows that too, and that’s why isn’t all that jazzed to actually sit down and plan her wedding? That’s just my theory – Annie is trying to convince herself that she doesn’t want drama, but the heart wants what it wants: DRAMZ. And it will be interesting to see if something happens between then and now… like, Anne ends up dumping Adam for some co-star she just met or something.
But with this interview, she did end up knocking down some of the speculation that she’s already pregnant right now. And she eased my fears that she would end up rushing to the altar in four or five months, in time for a People Magazine wedding-cover to coincide with the release of Les Miserables.
