In tonight’s Survivor episode, Yam-Yam saw his name for the first time at tribal council. He didn’t go home, but he was still shaken up from the encounter and so he began making jokes. He realized the best way to save his position as well as game was to be seen as a friend to everyone.

This included the people that tried to eliminate him. Yam-Yam’s game was to be the good guy. Danny’s game was to be the master manipulator. Danny was suspected of planting a false idol. Matt had found an idol with Danny’s help and he came to suspect that it was a false idol after he heard fake idols on top of real idols were at play. And so now Matt wants to get Danny out.

Matt even got help from Danny himself. Danny has been talking to people to get Lauren down to a single vote and so he wanted to weaken her position until ultimately he could eliminate her, but he told his little cabal the secret of playing a dangerous game was to keep everything and everyone close.

He thought he could manipulate them. Only he was wrong. Matt heard about his play and he basically incorporated into his own in a bid to get rid of Danny. And Danny’s own inner circle were in agreement with Matt.

They were tired of Danny pulling their strings like they were puppets. They wanted him out, Matt wanted him because of the false idol, and Lauren also has reason to want him out. He was trying to force her out first. It’s only fair that she do the same with him. Before any concrete plans could be made, they all had to participate in a challenge.

The challenge was that they had to stand on a beam with their hands holding up a staff with a ball balanced on it. The ball couldn’t fall. The staff couldn’t drop. They also couldn’t leave that beam unless they wanted to lose.

The challenge was between the Orange and the Purple. Frannie ended up being the last member of Team Orange in the game and she was facing the last member of Team Purple in the game, Brandon.

Out of the two of them, it was Frannie who won the challenge. She brought it home for Team Orange. She won Immunity that she can play later on. Brandon also won Immunity and that could save him from tribal council. It was just Team Orange that were safe from elimination. Anyone from Team Purple were up for elimination.

Matt was unfortunately on Team Purple. All of his allies and friends were on Team Orange. Danny was also on Team Orange. Danny was safe from elimination and so Matt had to change up his game.

It was bad enough that he missed a meal that Team Orange got to enjoy. He was told he might be up for elimination. It was between him and Yam-Yam. Yam-Yam was still making friends and so the two of them were vying for a place on their team’s alliance. They wanted to become safe. But Matt really misses Frannie.

Frannie was his person through this whole thing. Without her, the best thing he could think of to save himself was split the vote. He talked to Yam-Yam. They were both credible threats in the game.

They could split the vote and force an impasse. Only Frannie was maneuvering things for Matt. She was there when Heidi found an advantage. She knew that Heidi has a Control the Vote Advantage because Heidi told her about it. And so Frannie wanted Heidi to use the advantage to keep Matt safe during tribal.

Heidi however wasn’t as close to Matt as Frannie was. Heidi considered him a threat to her game and she knew that Yam-Yam would be more willing to work with her. Heidi thought about this long and hard.

She ultimately decided to take over Lauren’s vote by nominating Yam-Yam. It was between Yam-Yam and Matt. They both made a compelling case for themselves. And in spite of Heidi throwing the game in Matt’s favor, it was still Matt that got eliminated at tribal council. And Yam-Yam got to fight for another day.

THE END!
